Real Madridare presently blazing quite a trail, but Ancelotti has his eye on the football calendar and is slightly concerned about the next two months.
December is a problem because the team is hardly able to train normally, while January troubles him because the players will be thrown back into the fray without sufficient preparation ahead of eight really demanding matches - which could include two derbies and two 'Clasicos' in the Copa del Rey.
Nevertheless, the main concern is the Clubs World Cup, which is scheduled to take place in Morocco halfway through December. Real Madrid will most probably travel to Rabat on the 14th December and come back on the 21st of the same month. They will be expected to play only two games in that time but won't be able to train in the same conditions as they would in Valdebebas.
After the competition is over, the players will take a break for Christmas and on their return on the 28th head for Dubai to play a friendly against Milan. In the middle of all that travelling, they will miss another three days of normal training.
What with the Clubs World Cup, the Christmas holidays and the trip to Dubai, Real Madrid won't be able to train as they would have liked for twenty consecutive days - which could have serious consequences.
2015 isn't likely to get off to a particularly relaxing start, either. On the 3rd or 4th January, Los Blancos will face the challenge of Mestalla, undoubtedly one of the hardest stadiums to play in given the impressive season Valencia are having so far.
Three days after this league match, a derby in the Cup most likely awaits them, as Atlético Madrid are expected to knock out Hospitalet in the first round.
