Politics - Buhari meets Arewa community, others in Lagos

PRESIDENTIAL candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Gen Muhammadu Buhari, his running mate, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, and leaders of the party are due in Lagos today.

They are to meet with the various interest groups including artisans, the Arewa community, market women and other critical stakeholders.

On the visit, the Lagos State Coordinator of the Buhari/Osinbajo Campaign Organisation, James Abiodun Faleke, described the meetings as part of nationwide consultations by the party’s standard bearers.

Faleke, who is a member of the House of Representatives and a candidate from the Ikeja Federal Constituency, also said that all the APC candidates in Lagos will attend the series of meetings.

According to him, Buhari will meet with women group at Harbour Point, Oregun by 10am and hold a Town Hall meeting with artisans at the Blue Roof, Lagos Television (LTV 8), Agidingbi, Ikeja, by 1pm.

Faleke said the APC standard bearer will later meet with members of the Arewa Community at the Agege Township Stadium by 4pm.
