James's return set for CL quarter-final

The loss of James Rodríguez is a massive setback for Carlo Ancelotti. The Italian coach is left without one of his sure-fire starters for several games.
If things pan out as expected, the Colombian will not return until the quarter-finals of the Champions League (14-15th April) - if Real make it that far.
The derby against Atlético, the 'Clásico' and the last 16 tie against Schalke 04 are the big games which the talented South American player will miss out on. However, there are two precedents which offer a glimmer of hope for the player. Both Xabi Alonso and Gerónimo Rulli were operated on by Dr. Mariano de Prado for the same ailment and both were out of action for just over two months.
However, there are other examples which give 'Los Blancos' cause for concern. Marcelo suffered the same injury and did not return to the fold for almost four months. During his time at Sevilla, Ivan Rakitic was also absent for four months. However, the latter two did not benefit from the care of Dr. De Prado. The Brazilian was treated in the Netherlands by Dr. Van Dijk and the Croat in Switzerland by Dr. Huber.
