Air traffic controllers have said they would embark on full scale strike on Today. The air traffic controllers, under the aegis of the National Air Traffic Controllers Association, had on Thursday embarked on a six-hour strike. The action was over what the association termed unresolved welfare issues. But the Management of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency has promised there will be no disruption of flights while the action lasts. This promise came on the premise of the disruption of flights during the warning strike by the NATCA members. A statement by NAMA, signed by its General Manager of Public Affairs, Jumoke Adetona, said: “NAMA hereby wishes to inform the general public that there would be no disruption in the provision of air traffic services on Monday, 20th April 2015, in line with the agency’s mandate to provide safe, economic, efficient and expeditious air navigation services.”
