9ice Becomes Gov. Ajimobi’s Special Adviser

Hip hop maestro, Abolore Akande, otherwise known as  9ice, has finally made it big in politics. Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State has made the Ogbomosho-born act one of his special advisers. It will be recalled that 9ice joined the All Progressives Congress not too long ago and contested for the Ogbomosho Federal Constituency seat on the platform of the party but lost the primaries to the son of the Soun of Ogbomosho. Akande conceded defeat sportsmanly. 9ice is an award winning Nigerian singer, who is popular for his hit track, Gongo Aso. His decision to go into politics came as a shock to many.
