TERRORISM - Soldiers Liberate Key Borno Town From Boko Haram

The Director, Defence Information, Maj. Gen. Chris Olukolade, has said the men of the Nigerian Army liberated Pulka, a major community in Borno State on Saturday.
Olukolade said the town was a major supply route into the country, used by the terrorists to the Mandara Mountains and Cameroon.
He added that the military had commenced a cordon and search operation after an operation, which dislodged the insurgent from the town.
The Defence spokesman said further that troops also foiled an attempt by a terrorist, who disguised as a woman, with the intent to kill innocent citizens at Kwaya Kusar market in Borno State.
He said the suspect was undergoing interrogation and had made useful statements on the mode of operation of the sect to troops investigating the case.
He added that that the soldiers also foiled an attack by two female suicide bombers  in Aouno, Borno State.
Olukolade explained that  the female suicide bombers only succeeded in blowing themselves up without any civilian casualty.
