Boko Haram Members Disguised As Preachers Kill 24 In Borno

Suspected members of the Boko Haram sect who disguised as preachers stormed Kwajafa in Hawul Local Government Area and some villages in Kala Balge Local Government Area of Borno State killing at least 24 residents and wounding several others. Residents of the attacked communities told Hausa service of the BBC that the suspected members of the Boko Haram terrorist group stormed Kwajafa town and assembled residents under the guise of preaching their ideologies only to start shooting sporadically at the innocent people. “They (Boko Haram) told the gathering that they would continue to attack and kill people before Buhari would assume leadership to commence total war on the Boko Haram,” they said. “We could not stay to count the number of people killed during the attack immediately because we all ran for our dear lives but I can confirm that many residents were killed and many sustained injuries in the attack,” a witness said. The source said most of those injured sustained dislocations and minor injuries in the process of running for their dear lives during the attack. The latest attack was the second attack carried out by the dreaded group, the Boko Haram, since the declaration of Muhammadu Buhari as the winner of the presidential election held on March 28. The sect members had on Saturday killed two people in Kayamla village of Kondoga Local Government Area, also in Borno State. Leadership.
