14-Year-Old Boy Stabs 18-Year-Old Girl To Death

A 14-year-old boy, Ismael Idris, has been arrested by the police in Bauchi State for stabbing to death an 18-year-old girl, Ramatu Aminu. Aminu was said to have died at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi owing to injuries from the stabbing by Idris. The Bauchi State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Haruna Mohammed, confirmed the incidence. Mohammed said Idris, a resident of Kofar Gombe ward in Bauchi metropolis, used a scissor to stab the deceased in the neck at a bakery over a minor argument. He said the girl was rushed to ATBUTH for treatment but later died while being treated. He said in a statement: “On Thursday 16, 2015, at about 17:45hrs, police detectives attached to Township Division arrested one Ismael Idris, male, 14 years of Kofar Gombe ward in Bauchi State. “The suspect used scissors to stab one Ramatu Aminu, female, 18-year-old, of Shekal ward on her neck, over minor argument, at a bakery. She was rushed to ATBU Teaching Hospital for medical attention but later died while receiving treatment.”
