Bobbi Kristiana, the ailing daughter of celebrated American music rapper, Bobby Brown, has regained consciousness. Brown on Saturday night announced the good news of his daughter who has been on medically induced coma for over a month. He made the announcement while performing at Verizon Theatre in Dallas, United States of America. He told the stunned audience: “Bobbi is awake. “She is watching me.” As the crowd went wild, Brown didn’t elaborate on whether she had fully regained her consciousness. A family source told America-based Peoples magazine: “As far as I know there has not been change. We are still hoping and praying that God will perform a miracle. We are leaving it in God’s hand.” Kristians was found unresponsive in a bathtub in late January 2015. She has since remained in a medically induced coma. Despite all efforts by the family and team of medical practitioners to revive her back to life, all seems not yielding any positive result yet.

Nigerian Artistes Unite For Dagrin’s Fifth Year Remembrance
Some Nigerian artistes have come together to hold a memorial concert in honour of the late indigenous rapper, Dagrin (Oladapo Olaonipekun), on April 22 at Spice Route, Victoria Island, Lagos. The concert, which would be headlined by some friends and artistes who had collaborated with Dagrin during his lifetime, would include his main producer, Sossick, 9ice, Lord of Ajasa and YQ. Others are Olamide, who has become the poster child of indigenous Yoruba Hip Hop musicians since after the demise of Dagrin’s, and Tee Blaq, a reputable Hip Hop actor. Reminisce, JahBless, CDQ, Seriki, BaseOne, WondaBoy, PoslyTD and ChinkoEkun are some of the other artistes that have confirmed to perform at the event. Speaking on the event, TeeBlaq said: “Five years gone and my cousin’s impact is still being felt in the industry with so many good artistes professing to having been influenced by Dagrin. “So, it’s only befitting that we find out time to officially celebrate him and give some of these artistes a platform to do something for him and also for his fans to remember him.” Taofeek Olokodana, the CEO of Eldar Records, one of the organisers of the event, also said: “Dagrin’s death is still as painful today as when it happened five years ago. “We are hoping to see beyond death and pain while we celebrate his music and the artistes he has influenced.” Dagrin died at 6pm on April 22, 2010, eight days after he was involved in a ghastly motor accident in front of Alakara Police Station, Mushin, Lagos. He had become popular by dropping beautiful Hip Hop music in his native Yoruba language. He was noted more for famously saying: “I can’t compete with the likes of 50 Cent in English, but they also cannot understand me in my native tongue.” He had a number of hit tracks including PonPonPon, Kondo and Thank God, which featured Omawumi, among others. His two albums were Still on the Matter and Chief Executive Omoita (CEO). But it was the second album that brought him fame and recognition. He also went with various nicknames like Lyrical Were, Akogun, Barack O’Grin and Fi mi le

Arik’s US-Bound Passengers Stranded At Lagos Airport
United States of America-bound intending passengers on Arik Air are stranded at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos. Arik’s flight to the US terminates at the John F. Kennedy Airport in Mew York. The News Agency of Nigeria airport correspondent reports that the intending travellers, numbering no fewer than 100, were stranded at the airport since April 17. The intending travellers resorted to violent protests, invading the tarmac of the airport and disrupting a scheduled Lagos-Accra flight of Arik Air early on Saturday. However, the Spokesman of Arik Air, Ola Adebanji, told reporters that the issue had been resolved and that the Accra-bound aircraft later made the trip. Adebanji explained that the US-bound passengers could not depart as scheduled due to malfunctioning of the browser fuelling the aircraft. He promised that the US-bound passengers would make their trip immediately the problem was fixed. One of the stranded intending travellers, who identified herself simply as Tolu, lamented her inability to make the trip on schedule. Tolu said that the management of Arik Air had kept them in the dark on the inability of the plane to depart on schedule. Tolu said the intending passengers were abandoned instead of being lodged in a hotel and that they had no means to get in touch with their families. She claimed that the abandoned travellers were only given snacks and a bottle of water since Friday morning when the flight was cancelled. Another passenger, who also declined to mention his name, described the handling of the intending passengers by the airline as poor. According to him, Arik Air has persistently abandoned intending passengers without tangible excuses while “the industry regulator, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority often looks the other way”. He, however, vowed to challenge the latest development in court. When contacted, the Director of Consumer Protection of the NCAA, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu, said the duty of the NCAA on passenger processing stopped at the boarding gate where Aviation Security takes over from. Adamu, however, promised to investigate the matter, especially the non-protection of passengers who were supposed to be taken to hotel and offered amenities.

Man Keeping Promise To Trek from Lagos To Abuja For Buhari’s Inauguration Reaches Bida
He kept his promise! We pray GMB keeps his too!
Suleiman Hashimu, the guy who promise to trek from Lagos to Abuja should Buhari win is fulfilling his promise and moving quite fast on his twos. After a several days journey on foot he arrived Bida earlier today en route to Abuja. He was received by Etsu Nupe, HRH Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar.
Suleiman Hashimu or ‘The traveller’ as I prefer to call him is an indigene of Katsina state, Funtua to be precise. He was born in Osun state but lives in Ibadan.
The traveler promised two years ago to walk from where ever he is to the capital of Nigeria, Abuja if General Muhammadu Buhari wins the election in 2015. BBC Hausa, Voice of America and Aminiya (a Hausa Mgazine) interviewed him.
He was in Lagos when Buhari was declared the President-elect of Nigeria. He left Lagos at about 5am the next day and arrived Ibadan around 6pm. He went to get a police report to allow for the smoothness of his journey but couldn’t wait and so, the D.P.O. gave him his phone number. Despite several discouragement from friends and at the same time, inspiration from friends and loved ones; he continued from Ibadan to Oyo. Then from Oyo to Ogbomoso.; And from Ogbomoso to Ilorin with much hospitality at every stop.
At Ilorin, some people escorted him for some miles and he stopped at Oloru. Oloru, to border’n Sa’ada and then to Jebba. He received so much hospitality from Jebba and unlike other villages he met a lot of people who had heard of the traveller. About 20 people set off with him from Jebba and after some miles, about 18 went back but the remaining two were determined.
They met with armed robbers close to Makwa and luckily, he already met one of them in Jebba and he even gave him 200 Naira for pure water. The robber told his colleagues that he was going to see Buhari and he gave him 2000 Naira and then slapped the two men with him. He continued his journey from Mkwa to Kudu and then to Kutigi. He is currently in Kutigi and will continue his journey to Bida tomorrow by the grace of God.
I asked him about his encounter with the different people and he said it was remarkable. Actually he gets more determined to move on from the people. He was even treated like a King in a village in Niger. They sang tribal songs he didn’t understand and travellers stop to provide him with food and company along the way. Most of them are familiar with him because they travel the same route daily.
Sometimes up to 10 cars would stop to converse with him. News travelled with the public transports to different places on his route and people from several cities, towns and villages on his route would call to check up on him and inquire about his journey.
He doesn’t know for sure if Buhari knows of him but several of his support organizations do. He intends to reach Abuja by 27th of May and celebrate with the new president at his inauguration ceremony.
You can reach him on his mobile: 08057333300. Please do share the news of ‘the traveller’.

That ojoro no go work,” stated Dede, while commenting on Solomon’s performance. On his own part, Darey had this to say about Meyar’s performance: “You expression was incredible, but wrongly directed. You had a slippery start. Your delivery of that song should have been more subtle, but you took a harsh, piercing approach.” Speaking further about the overall performances on the night, Darey had this to say: “This set of 11 is not bad at all. They tried their best to put in the work. Some of them sleepless nights and over singing killed them today, but some really came shining too. Some of them took the songs that did not suit their kinds of voice, but that happens, and it’s a competition. Somebody must make mistakes for somebody else to win.
