Barça hang eight on Huesca

Barcelonawaltzed into the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey with a 8-1 round of 32 second leg victory over Huesca on Tuesday nightat the Camp Nou. The win gave Barcelona a whopping 12-1 advantage on aggregate and a date in the next round with the winner of the Valladolid-Elche tie.
Pedro scored a hat trick and Sergi Roberto, Andres Iniesta, Adriano, Adama Traore and Sandro all scored in the lopsided win.
Manager Luis Enrique rolled out a rotated squad that saw Martin Montoya earn a very rare start in defense, along with Marc Bartra, Javier Mascherano and Adriano in front of goalkeeper Jordi Masip. The midfield consisted of Sergi Samper, Rafinha and Sergi Roberto while Pedro, Munir and Andres Iniesta were in attack.
After a scoreless first 20 minutes, the goals came thick and fast for Barcelona in the first half with Pedro opening the scoring in the 21st minute when he heade din a cross after Munir had done well to chase down a ball on the right. Five minutes later the Canarian made it 2-0 to the home side, this time with Iniesta lofting a superb ball that Pedro collected and scored past Huesca goalkeeper Daniel Jiménez.
It then became 3-0 when Montoya slid in a ball to Roberto who fired into the net in the 29th minute. Iniesta then got to play the role of goal-scorer as he extended Barcelona's lead to 4-0 in the 40th minute by calmly sweeping in a left-footed shot. Pedro capped off his memorable half with his third goal of the night in the 43rd minute with a shot from inside the Huesca area that rocketed past Jiménez.
The goals did not flow as quickly for Barcelona in the second half, but they added to the score nonetheless when Adriano made it 6-0 in the 68th minute. Samper played a through ball in, which originally looked intended for substitute Sandro, but with the youngster in an offside position, he let the ball go by. But Adriano was also in the vicinity and the Brazilian swopped in and fired in for the goal.
Barcelona made it a cool seven in the 78th minute with substitute Adama Traore getting the score. The Barcelona B player gathered in a pass and then bulled his way past the Huesca defense before sending a bullet past Jiménez. Barcelona then added to the rout in the 83rd minute with Rafinha finding Sandro who slotted home.
Huesca got their consolation goal to round out the scoring in the 86th minute as Carlos David Gaspar scored a goal he will always remember when he thumped in a header at the near post off a corner kick.
Barcelona will now return to La Liga action this Saturday with a home date versus Córdoba.
