James in frame for final
COLOMBIAN HAS RESUMED TRAINING AT FULL STEAM
It is looking likely thatJames Rodríguezwill see at least some action during Saturday's Club World Cup final. The Colombian was able to train normally this morning, joining the other players that didn't start against Cruz Azul out on the pitch next to the Grand Stade de Marrakech. While the 23-year-old was only able to complete part of the session with his teammates in the run-up to the semi-final, he went the distance this time around and worked at full steam.
The semi-final starters - besides Iker Casillas, who did drills alongside fellow keepers Keylor Navas and Fernando Pacheco - stayed inside at the team hotel and performed recovery exercises led by the physios. Dani Carvajal, Pepe, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Toni Kroos, Asier Illarramendi, Isco, Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema were in this group.
Ramos, incidentally, is expected to be fully fit for the final despite the muscle fatigue problem he hadagainst Cruz Azul.
