Ancelotti: No joy in Barça's troubles

Ancelotti: No joy in Barça's troubles

Carlo Ancelotti was categorical when asked if he takes pleasure in Barça's current plight. "No, I don't. I'm focused on my team and our problems. I'm not looking at Barcelona and what's going on there. All teams have problems at some point in the season", he stated.
Leo Messi and Neymar being left on the bench against Real Sociedad: "I don't know the situation in the Barcelona dressing room. It's up to every coach to call the shots. Luis Enrique is the best-placed person to make decisions at Barça and so every decision he makes should be considered well-founded".
The upcoming Madrid derby in the Copa del Rey: "We know each other very well. They're very tough opponents, oozing experience and quality. You have to pull out all the stops to beat Atlético".
Fernando Torres: "He hasn't played yet and he's already got the fans really excited. As well as having ability and experience, Torres will be really motivated to do well".
Gareth Bale's supposed selfishness at the Mestalla: "I've seen replays of the incident and it wasn't easy to pass. Bale made the right decision to try to score. Like every member of the squad, he knows that if you have the chance to pass, you should pass, but he didn't have the space to do so".
The weight of expectation on Bale: "Any pressure over his price tag is positive pressure".
The starting XI to face Atlético: "I think it will be a standard line-up. We're going to field the strongest team possible. The team aren't tired".
